One should visit a dentist regularly, so the teeth stay healthy and you do not have to visit the dentist regularly.<\/strong>Unknown<\/span><\/div><\/div>\n

\nAnd I am no exception. <\/p> \n

My last significant dentist visit in Canada dates back to about 30 years ago (multiple root canals in one session). There was a feeling of blind trust along with a head full of nitrous oxide and a band playing to both ears. On the ceiling above me, a sign: “We cater to cowards”. To the point. Dr. Lorin Low was a capacity. Since then I had remarkably little stress and the visits to the chair of horrors was an occasional matter. Many moves left little time to build up trust for a dentist in the vicinity, and the selection of a dentist is a matter of trust. <\/p> \n

With advancing age, your food processing area needs increased attention. So, seasonly correct, one of my molars ejected his filling without ever asking permission. So – red alert – pain. I get a recommendation for the Practice Wahl & Reinecke-Wahl<\/a> in Bochum. Not far from where I reside, I got an appointment and took a seat in the waiting area. The other candidates are readily identified: The “experienced” visitors are relaxed and leaf through the magazines lying around, at times obviously but more inwardly amused looking at the leg-quivering, from-one-buttock-to-the-other-sliding rookies. I am part of the latter group. <\/p> \n

It’s my turn. A smiling lady adresses me: “Mr. Manns, please.” <\/p> \n

I am sitting \/ laying on the assigned chair – the usual cutlery in plain view in front of me. It takes a couple of minutes and Dr. Wahl appears – an obviously cheerful soul. He greets me and is attempting to take the edge of this scaredy cat. With good success. He looks, x-rays, explains and treats me. 45 minutes later, I leave the office – without pain and with a temporary filling. Trust established – well done, Mr. Dentist. <\/p> \n

There were to be a few more visits with the problem moler, as the root insisted to make it’s presence felt. At this point a HUGE thank you to the staff as well – they took care of me timely or even immediately after contacting them. No rolling eyes (…him again…) – I feel very comfortably taken care of. <\/p> \n

But the root wasn’t going to calm down and I had to submit to a root rezession by the associated oral surgeon. That happened in short order (and the tooth was saved!). Three, four more candidates were\u00a0 also disposed of and made room for replacements. <\/p> \n

Today this replacement got it’s last fitting and finetuning. I am thrilled. A little unusual, fits like a glove, looks great and no unwanted movement – especially considering the complex geometric challenge and limited attachment options. <\/p> \n

I can highly recommend this dentist and all of his caring staff without reservation. Great doctor, great staff. THANK YOU! <\/span> <\/p> \n
